Braving the weather

Its been sombre since the other day. No sun shines bright. Intermittent rain with cloudy sky made the day.
Oh ye.. there's a load of wash to be hung. Without the sun nor the dryer, hmmm drying clothes would be a pain in the neck.

My heart sank watching the going ons in Chaingrai. Motherly instinct set in when flashes of the teens faces been aired on tv. Hope all of them reach safety soon.It must be a traumatic and horrifying experience for them and the family. Kudos to the rescue team from all over the world. Alas, none from the country of the same faith as us.

Japan too is facing a calamity of magnitude. And China too is expected to be in the path of one stormy storm. Hurricane Maria is coming her way.
On the other hand, many nations are having extreme hot weather. 44 for Riyadh. And there's one with a 48..oh no.

Been asked, wasnt I proud to be a Malay. Cakap Melayulah..Tulis Melayu lah. Well, I am proud of my bahasa. It has such beautiful tone to it. Not so screeching like some. Somewhat nearly as sweet as Hindi...hihi.
Considered myself lucky for being able to write, read and speak English. It opens a spectrum of venues for me to understand subjects being discussed more than being able to speak a single language.
And I agree with Rafizi Ramli's view that giving books as a present or memento. Remembered my very first book acquired. Forgotten on what basis I got it but it was given to me on a very special school speech day. Wrapped and tied with a ribbon. I got to practice how to curtsy in front of a distinguished guest. The late DYMM Agong himself.
WHAT KATY DID ... was that book. And it sets and spurred my interest and hobby in reading.

I remembered the girl on the swing
Sekolah Tengku Abdul Malik,Kulim...the school where I got the book

Had a good laugh when two year old Fohim remarked that a potrait of someone looks like Halloween. Guess you know her.
Glad that he has accumulated quite a vast number of vocab in English .
Yucky,be careful, ghost, witch  were some. Thanks to story telling session with mum and cousins.

When the weather isnt good, take a book instead. It does you wonders. You learn, you visualise and it takes your pain away.Engrossed in a book is my antidote to depression . You dont need to travel, yet you know how a place is. You do not need to take drugs ,yet you know the consequences are..

My my... I have wondered from my topic... braving the weather.
Stay safe folks. Bye.
