The sun is bright and shining strongly in the east overwhelming RBL with her lights.It is warm even at 8 am in contrast with a few days of intermittent rains lately. Fear crept into my mind should Perlis be flooded with the like of what happened in the east coast.
Last night,after isya' I crept into bed and slept. It was an early to bed early to rise plan of mine. But at 1.40 I woke up to the sound of tv being on. Saw cikli in the dim light watching tv.
Oh no... Its Puskas night. And its Faiz in the limelight.!
Joined cikli watching the prize and award giving ceremony being aired on tv Arena,Astro from faraway Zurich.
It was 2 but the award is far from being over. Dropping to sleep on the couch when they announced the voting is over.

At last..anxiety over. Muhd. Faiz Subri was the winner of the prestigious Puskas Award for the best goal in 2016. His physic defying shot shot him to stardom and made us Malaysians grinning to the ears.
Literally,cikli and I jumped from our seat and clapped our hands. Proud of him we were.
Resplendent in his suit and bow tie,Faiz made his way to the stage. All eyes on him.We waited with bated breath when Faiz was seen flicking his gadget. Searching for his winning text no doubt.
At last with tremor in his voice,Faiz read out his prepared text to the world.Stumbling here and there.
Takpalah Faiz... your English might no be polished but you made us proud!
Aku pun kalau disuruh cakap on that stage mau lintang pukang BI ku yg mmg sedia berkarat dah.That experience I had one day during a course was a lesson in itself. How I stammered and gulped to finish my presentation...haha.

So...who said we Malaysians and bangsa Melayu hanya layak menghiasi berita tak senonoh saja.
Anak2 Melayu... kamu ada kekuatan kalau ada kesungguhan. Anak muda yg sedang menyiapkan PHD salah seorang saintis yg menemui lubang apakenentah dlm system universe. Hebat kan!
Hope Yuna won the globe award ( betul ke namanya) yang dia telah dicalonkan.
Anak anak yang memanjat Ipoh,crane dan menara telekomunikasi itu harapnya dapat melakar sejarah menang apa2 award.
