Cucuq .... eh kuih laaa

 

One day,tok who was born and bred in Kedah gave out a piece of kuih to her grandson.

Me: Makan cucuq ni elok. Jangan bagi bertaboq gula ataih kapet. 

Grandson: Cucuq? Kuih la tok.

Me: Kuih pun cucuq juga kan...

Another day, the tok handed out a piece of biscuits.

Me: Roti ni sedap tau.

Grandson: Roti? Ni bisckut la....

Haha... memang tok punya perbendaharaan kata way different from cucu2 yang KL born and bred.

So when she says lempiang bakaq... it causes quite a ruckus.

Ma ni lempiang la, cucuq la, roti la....confius budak2 tu.Said an auntie..

To this I replied...Baguih apa macam tu. Baghu la depa tau banyak bahasa. Nanti kalau mama bawa depa pi belah Tawaq,Naka, jumpa tok nenek oghang sana baghu ketahuan. Haha. Ehh belah2 sini pun ada loghat yang nun balik bukit bezanya...haha.

Thats all folks. Am proud of my loghat. Walau pekat Kedah. Jenuh cucu 2 menantu2 nak paham. Kalau depa tak paham ,cikson speaking aja..

Menyengat...

 Semalam petang,rasa terduduk bila mengikuti sidang media TS DG KKM jam 5.30 petang. Sehari sebelum tu dah 271 pun nak terduduk. Semalam lagilah... terduduk sampai tak terbangun dah.

317..pecah rekod.Adakah masih normal, biasa biasa .Atau angka ini dah jadi luar biasa.

Tapi pak pak menteri kata masih terkawal. Tak ada apa apa. Jangan risau.

Tapi sebagai man on the street aka rakyat marhaen cikson dah pakai engage gear risau. Dan gear risau ni mengawal pergerakan . Nak kemana mana pun bimbang . Teringin nak ke ibu kota jumpa cucu cucu pun tak boleh lagi setakat ni. Dah 10 bulan dok memerap kat rumah.. 

Pak menteri kata satu persen saja yang balik dari Sabah positive. Tapi kan satu persen kalau tak dikawal boleh jadi 10 persen sekelip mata. Dan 10 persen boleh jadi 99.99 persen kalau alpa. Mau jadi Brazil , Spain ke apa dah kita. Risau juga.

Namun kita rasa bertuah kerana punya team KKM yang berwibawa. Katalah KKM pun kelang kelibut macam satu lagi kementerian tu,mau cempera habih rakyat Msia. Namun nak salahkan mak menteri tu pun tak boleh juga kan. Drastic situation needs drastic actions. Kovid ni pun meletus  letus dalam minggu ni bukan salah dia. Mau universiti2 pula dijangkiti, dia juga kena kutuk. Di UK satu U kena tutup sbb wabak ni.

Tapi sekolah sekolah, tadika2, taska2 masih on...ni under kemeterian lain la cikson. OIC.

Berita menyengat yang singgah di fb.... tentang macau scam. Dah kena panggil SPRM dua artis . 

Dah pakai baju oren mereka yang dok buat scam tu. Berpangkat Datuk lagi..

Tak lama dulu, ada saudara yang dapat panggilan dari Polis Kuantan kononnya. Cepat cepat kami nasihat dia buat report polis. 

Juga misteri tentang wang berbilion nak dibahagi dan disedekahkan .... macam dongeng jumpa harta qarun.

Why did I like to write about these matters...some may ask. Macam lah pandai sangat.

Last night I argued with cikli when he downplayed an issue . You ni semua tahu,he admonished.

Haha.... tentulah. Beritakan dihujung jari. Bacalah..

Rasa nak menitis air mata baca luahan hati TS Hisham..

287 ?...... banyak nyaaaa.

 Langit nampak suram di luar tingkap. Tanda hari nak hujan.Begitu cuaca hari hari di sini. Hujan tidak menentu.

Semalam nampak letih Tan Sri DG KKM di tv. He's been working too hard since the onset of the pandemic . I used to see him updating status on his fb at the wee hour of the night. And at two am the other day, he was seen at KLIA to see for himself the situation there. Such a workaholic. Malaysia, arent we lucky to have such a personality in our time of distress.

Oh yes, I feel sad when reading comments from netizens belittling his worth thus far. Especially so when the power to enforce isnt with him. He could advise. He had said that all too often. Macam kerja GB sekolahkan. Boleh nasihat ibubapa utk kebaikan anak anak mereka. Kalau ibubapa nak bakulsampahkan saranan beliau, sapa boleh larang kan. 

I remembered giving advice to parents to excuse themselves from activities when their children are going to have a big exam. To give the best of everything . Wasnt I dismayed when , family still went on vacations . Students were left to fend for themselves. There were cases when we have to knock on their door during exam days. Oh yes, there were families fighting and divorcing as well .. how sad. 

Macam tu la rasanya keadaan DG KKM. Nasihat boleh ,nak enforce dah jurisdiction orang lain.Jadi bila angka positive covid naik mencanak, janganlah dicemuh kerja dia. 

287 ! Its a huge number. Highest ever recorded. Dah seriau ni.

POTUS and his wife pun dah covid positive. Gempar berita ni. Agak agak dia minum dak clorox?Kedegilan dan kesombongan dia yang meng over ride nasihat 2 pakar kesihatan dia dah jelas kemenjadiannya. With his age,sex and obesity , he is in the high risk category. Kita tengoklah apa kesudahannya. Semoga dia keluar dari situasi ini dengan selamat.

Today ,our 'abah' will preside over a  meeting to discuss our dire covid19 situation . Fingers crossed. 

Hope there wont be another full PKP. Penin aaaa

 Abang and his reading .

Adik and his mimicking.

Abang at 4 yr 11 months is making headway in his reading.

Quite an achievement la no...

Happy to know that he is progressing well.

His tadika, ayah and mama had all played a part in his reading.

The other day, he told us that he had finished book 4 at his tadika. I am not well versed in tadika and their teaching. But I did know that his parents played a significant part in his achievement.Kudos to all of them.

This takes me to the time when the children of mine were young and struggling to learn to read. And by year one , as early as February we would make sure that they werent left behind in their class. Takut depa masuk kelas corot... exam menempatkan kelas masa tu mmg mendebarkan.

I knew too well the consequences if students failed in their reading in the early stages. Jenuh nak kampoi serba serbi. Sekali depa seronok bergaul dgn member tak mau belajar, payah nak bentuk balik.

This in a way is not undermining the slow learners. If they were born as one, there's a lot of task to help them. But on the other hand, if it was their attitude that made them slow in reading, well the parents shouldnt ignore the problem. 

And one more thing. First born child ,if all is well ,could be a role model to the younger siblings. 

I noticed that the younger brother is fond of mimicking his elder brother. He had acquired quite an astonishing vocabulary. Notice him saying 'buttock' in this video. Adoila adik... out of the story read, tak dengar pun abang baca perkataan tu...haha.

Maybe ada yang tak setuju. Biarlah budak2 progress at their own speed.

This I dont agree. If we could help, do help. 

Lihat kaum2 yang maju, anak2 dibentuk dari kecil lagi.Tidak hanya berserah atas kemenjadian . 

Satu lagi... tahukah anda, anak2 yang diajar oleh bapa mereka sendiri, lebih cepat pandai. So ayuh,bapa2,you have a role to play. Jadilah macam cikli... anak2 masa kecil dia yang bertungkus lumus ajar membaca . Result dia.. oklah. Proudlah juga dengan achievement semua anak2.
