Those catchy tunes...

Switching on the tv brought me to Hitz FM. Adalah sapa2 yg programkan channel tu jadi penyambut halwa telinga . I tak kisah pun.....
Sometimes I would let it be. Dengar pi lah lagu2 orang putih tu. Bukan salah pun... atau jadi kap alif piaq. haha.
Terngiang ngiang lagi kata kata... cakap oghang putih, baca buku oghang putih ingat hang oghang putih ka.
The time when I was chosen  for a course to Scotland ada yang kata... pi situ buat apa. Kalau pi Mekah lain lah.. Gitu pulak..Sour grapes kah apa tak taulah.

Then one day,I got to listen to this song...and wasnt I like sukanyaaa..
The tune is catchy. Macam lagu orang2 belah gunung Kinabalu pun ada.
Lagu... IDK..How can I miss someone whom I have never met...suka melodynya. Slow mellow gitu.Terus jatuh cinta. And I would be humming the song in the bathroom..

Teringat masa mengajar dulu dulu.
As a teacher who championed in a clean environment before class started, I hit upon an idea. Why not make the children sing while we rushed to get the class organised. Sampah dibakul sampahkan, meja yang herot petot barisan dibetulkan. Writing materials distributed to the group. In a fun and happy atmosphere.
Through SONGS!
This was when I was an MBMMBI teacher in a district school.
Songs in the text book aplenty. I taught the children to sing those songs. The laptop which was laid ready to use would be on. Songs on u tube would be used.
So from year one to three, whenever teacher in makcikson entered the class, it was a happy mood.
We would sing songs learnt from the text and u tube while organising the class. Like 2,3 minutes each time.
Catchy tunes like... Butterfly, The Pirate song are some songs that I could remember.
One day I saw students opening their text book for the wordings of the songs. I was caught by surprise. They were year one students who had not even learn to read yet.
Even those  who are considered slow learner sang happily along.
And when the class seemed drowsy in the afternoon heat, I would switch on the songs while the children did their work. Humming softly.
The class would dismiss with a song too.
I think I had about 20 songs by the year end.

And the best part was when a student read a passage very well and I exclaimed.
Pandainya kamu baca. Lancar. Pi tuisyen mana? Sapa ajar kat rumah.
The girl replied... Cikgulah ajar. Saya tak pi tuisyen.Kat rumah pun tak dak sapa.
Wasnt I happy? Heaven rasanya masa tu.

Rupanya baca lyric lagu2 tu boleh melancarkan bacaan murid .
And parents, kalau nak anak2 cepat membaca, bukalah lagu2 yang ada lyrics tu. Biar depa ikut. Tak usah lah dok kata.... buat apa belajaq Bahasa Inggeris. Bahasa neraka tuuu.
Tu yang pork pun tak tau apa diaaa....
Lard, natural/animal fat dsbnya.

Dengan boleh berbahasa kedua, ketiga ,peluang kerja pun lebih terbuka. Betul tak?

Thats all folks...Bye.

Life goes on....

Well, its Monday morning once again.
Gooood Morrrrning.....

The sound of the thunder rumbling , the cars vroooming, the birds chirping gaily greet me. Its 7.13 am right now in Malaysia ,my friends in far away land.
I predict that today would be a wet day. By the look of the sky.

Life goes on.

I dont know about others. Right soon I open my eyes, my thought goes to my children in the capital. How would their day be today.
I could envisaged the busy as a bee life of a teacher daughter. Before the sun comes up, she would already be in her place of work. Screening hundreds of children, sanistising their hands before ushering them into the classrooms.
In covid time, teachers are heaped with xtra tasks that they never imagined before. Budak2 makan cikgu kena tengok, kencing berak pun kena supervise. Sampai nak isi perut sendiri pun ada masa tak cukup masa. Tu belum kena isi repot itu repot ini lagi.
Tu guru penolong. Tak tergambar tentang busy dan bertambah tanggungjawab guru besar...

The wfh exec would clock in latest at 9 and be on the internet until 6 pm with the regular break interval. Imagine days on end the same routine. With 4 walls and no work colleague aorund... its feels rather dumb . To me lah....But on the other hand, there are the bright sides too.

Last night on Astro, a tribute was held for a contestant who passed away. Between renditions of songs, memories of allahyarhamah were related. All fond memories. She was a dear soul.
Bila kita berbuat baik, tentu ingatan baik saja yang melekat pada kawan rakan dan sanak saudara.
And when its time for me to go,agak2 apalah kenangan orang terhadap ku...
Ehhh..cenge nya dia. Garang tau
Malas masak . Kesian laki makan beli kat kedai.
Muluuuuut... hi celupaq. Semua orang dia komplen. Dia saja betoi....

or is it...
Rugilah... sapa nak masak mee kuah terbest in the world . haha.

Yes, sometimes when someone is called up there, we miss her or him dearly. It takes years to feel alright. But sometimes, there were those who you dont miss less. Or not at all.
Its how they treat you that made you feel that way. To miss or not to miss.

Anyhow ,any what way... life goes on until the END. Bye.

I feel dismayed at those ruthless hearts who wrote ruthless remarks oh the demise of the late Sandra. Macamlah depa ni baguih benaq. Sesuci embun dipagi hari.
BERDOSA!

Bye... once again. Take good care of yourself.

Read on Pohim....

To see Pohim learning to read with his mommy dearie brought back memories from yesteryears. The time when the children of no.7 learned to read. Some had it easy while some had it hard.
Ba Ba.... ca  ca, du du... was repeated over and over again until finally they were able to make out how to read.
One was a fast learner ,learning from hearing her elder sister read.
One got it so fast that I was surprised when he read the whole roadside notices aloud.
While others had to be coached .Drama and all.

But one thing that I love was we as a family love reading. Very much.
It was normal for the children to read at bedtime. The next morning when I did the bed, books were all around them. One could read everywhere. In a moving vehicle, eating, and even walking.
We were in Langkawi for a holiday. Walking past by shops when I noticed one missing. There he was. A few distance away. Walking with his head down. Reading a newly acquired book.
A bookshop at Kangar town would be our first pit stop on a journey. No holiday, or going back to Kulim on our monthly excursion would start before getting them books of their choice.
Mau lah rabak 50 ringgit .
Without reading materials , our car could be a war field. Hang cuit aku,aku cuit hang. Hang kata kat aku, aku nangis. Tak senang cikli nak pandu kereta. Dapat buku semua diam.

Pohim, as far as I could remember, likes alphabets since a toddler. M, tu M... he pointed to us the M on Macdonald's. From afar,he would be excited to see M knowing that he could have his favourite chicken.
He was still in his stroller when I tested him . Mana A? Well my clothespegs were his As. And he would show me alphabets on small labels. The labels on his rocking chair was referred when I asked him to find alphabets.

Adik nampaknya berlainan . He's more into physical moves. Suka tgk dia menari. Mcam ibu dia kecik kecik dulu.

Read on Pohim.... like your nanny. As reading is my number one hobby.

Risau up North 2

That TEMCO is now presently enforced in Kota Setar made the risau in me work overtime.
Ehhh nak risau buat apa? Some might ask.
Bukan terlibat pun... smirked another.
Ingat kat Tuhan... add a preacher.

Reading about about people fleeing the lockdowned area before the onset of the exercise put a damper on my heart. What la kalau dia pembawa.
And then there were those who enter the proximity of the virus stricken area without much ado about anything.
Malau, Tunjang and a few areas not in Kota Setar as of yesterday KKM briefing had a number of positive cases. And this could potentially poses a threat to other areas as well. Perlis as an example.
People going to Pulau Langkawi have to enter Perlis as Kuala Kedah ferry is grounded. The other day when I was at the jetty, it was crowded.
And as for Langkawi itself, luckily until yesterday none was tested positive. But the incubation period is 14 days kan. So results is yet to be seen.
Tolonglah... if you have no urgent matter, please stay away from here. KIV dululah nak bercuti2 kat Langkawi although its opened to do so. Duit boleh carilah sayang.
As I was typing this post, I was quite perplexed to see quite a number of vehicles going to Kuala. Bas persiaran pun ada.

Today ,I bet that the stretch of road along the sea at Kuala would be teeming with people.Ikan bakaq, lockching, laksa dok memanggil manggil ajak mai.
Ehh.. takut apa? Jom pi seround petang ni!
Hmmm....
Kalau Makcik manatah dari Jitra terbersin pun, antibodi kita kuat. Tak jadi apa aiih. A few weeks before I was really annoyed by a patron of an eatery who sneezed a few smack feet away from me. Without a facemask..Heww..mujuq tak jadi apa.

Fervently hope that this phase of our life laid to rest soon. Its getting on our nerves day by day to see the three digits cases.R naught kita pun dah meninggi. Dont let what happened in Italy, Spain ,Brazil be here.
Rasanya orang yang ikuti twitter masa mula2 Wuhan kena serang dgn virus ini tau peritnya . How the lockdown in China was carried out. The extent of the suffering. Kalau tak mungkin tak tahu yang virus ni memporakperandakan kehidupan manusia . Selagi tiada vaksin.

Kesian aku tengok DG KKM. Kadangkala terpancar kesedihan diwajahnya masa sidang akhbar. Dan aku yang follow fbnya terpaku bila jam telah dinihari, Tan Sri masih upkan postingnya tentang situasi kita. Kuatnya dia bekerja. May Allah SWT protect you.

Thats all folks. Stay safe always. Toksah lah dok giat nak pi mana2. Lebih2 lagi mai utara for now. Bila dah selesai nanti, mailah . Kita pi jalan2 dan makan2.

Bye.
