Gulai ketam,kak chon

 

Cooking this gulai brought me to a nostalgic cooking experience that I had.

Pakli had brought home some crabs from the pasar one fine day.Pasar Tani was not around at that time.

Careless as I was, I used the curry for gulai daging instead of gulai ikan or udang.

So it turned to be a little out of the usual taste.And worse still,I added ginger.

Lagi satu,masa nak siang ketam tu,habis togel makcik buatnya.I was a new bride and cooking ketam was something new.Ya la masa bujang, I got this phobia of pulling the shell from the crab.

Anyway,teringat seseorang yang menyiang ikan dalam keadaan yang marah.Jadi ikan tu di katamnya dengan bersungguh sungguh.Jadi masa kami makan,tulang saja yang dapat kerana isinya telah sebati dengan gravy.

Jadi jangan marah marah ya bila siang ikan.

 

Anyway,on a brighter note ,my gulai ketam,was finished off by dinner.

This morning I will provide the way how I cooked the crabs.

 

crabs not craps

Curry powder ( for crabs not craps)

Santan

Garam

Pineapple

Shallot

Garlic

 

Bring to boil curry powder and some water ( agak agak la)

Add santan. Next go the crabs and sliced pineapple

salt to taste.

Let the curry simmer.

 

In a wok,fry garlic+Shallot+ daun kari + halba campur.

Turn into the curry.

There you see,cooking crab curry is very simple.

Budak tak ambil UPSR pun boleh buat .Kan?
