Perlis,a sleepy hollow burst to its seams come public holidays.Be it CNY,school hols or any other holidays. You name it ,you got it.
So it was no surprise when in Kangar 'town' you come across people that u have not bumped into before. You came across car plates from outside the states more often than home grown.
It was the same scenario last night. As usual when the children from out of states came home,Mona di Koma is our haunt for ikan bakaq.Phew....cars,buses lined the side of the road stretching from the jetty until a few km away.
Hah....tentu ramai oghang kat Mona,I said.True enough, when we reached there, most of the seats were taken.
So mulalah episode menunggu.Nak marah pun tak kena.
Tentu depa lengoh tangan dok kipas ikan...
It was then when I noticed a familiar face which I had not seen ions ago.
My work mate when I was teaching in the first school was as fit as a fiddle though she has pensioned a 15 years or so ago.Apa rahsia dia.Malu I.
Our dinner for the day included Pak Teh and Mak Teh from SP along with their lovable grandchildren.
Habis licin pinggan.Yang tinggal hanya tulang dan kulit saja.Tu pun kalau bawa ninasandaq tentu tulang pun tak tinggal.
Going home,we took the road to the jetty.Havoc and happening sampai kepala naik pening.
Kesian kuda tu kena latu.Cikten observed.Seeing the horses made to carry people along the hard tarmac road was a pitiful sight.Tentu sakit kaki depa.
Mau senget Pulau Langkawi kalau lagu ni....I quipped.Hundreds if not thousands of cars lined up the streets, parked in every compound available.I visualised people and holiday makers in Langkawi.Rimas bila sesak sesak.
Well....over in Padang Besar pun is the same scenario.
Awat tak tau oghang suka sangat pi belanja kat sana.Bukan murah pun.Duit kita bile jatuh, harga barang naik .
Oghang pi beli barang nak kahwin la tu....
Thanks Aten and hubby for the lovely dinner...
